Xiaomi 200W HyperCharge Technology was unveiled earlier this year and is currently claimed to be the fastest charging solution in the industry. While Xiaomi did not announce the commercial availability of the technology at the time of launch, a new report now claims the brand will begin mass production of the tech in 2022. The Xiaomi 200W HyperCharge technology is claimed to charge a device from 0 to 100 percent within eight minutes and the same technology can wirelessly charge a 4,000mAh battery at 120W in 15 minutes.

The company will begin mass production of its HyperCharge fast charging solution in H1 2022 or June to be precise, according to the MyDrivers report citing some bloggers. Furthermore, the charging tech will be available on high-tier flagships that will debut next year, probably the Mi 12 Ultra, a successor to the Mi 11 Ultra that came with 67W wired and wireless fast-charging support.
For those unaware, Xiaomi demoed its 200W fast-charging solution back in May 2021 and was able to charge a 4000mAh battery from 0-50 percent in just three minutes, which is quite impressive. The solution is claimed to be capable enough to charge the device completely within eight minutes. The HyperCharge can also wirelessly charge a device at 120W and the new charging solution is claimed to juice up a 4,000mAh unit within 15 minutes.
While the amount of charging speed is good on paper, the negative impact it may have on the battery is also a concern. For that, Xiaomi acknowledged that the fast-charging will have a certain impact on the battery health and the overall life cycle of a battery but said the impact will be within the limits of industry-standard and recommended boundaries. The company mentioned the overall battery life cycle will degrade to just 80 percent of its peak capacity after 800 charging and discharging cycles.
