Samsung India’s official Twitter handle posted on Wednesday, July 21st that the phone will arrive in two days, which means July 23rd. The post reads, “Gear up for lag-free, real-time gaming on 5G. 11 band 5G network support of #GalaxyA225G will guarantee uninterrupted 5G access. Just 2 days to go”. We learned that the smartphone will be available in 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB variants, priced at Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999, respectively. To recall, the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G was launched a few months ago with similar introductory prices, though now the phone is available starting from Rs 21,999.

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G that launched in Europe features a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a V-shaped notch. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Samsung claims the phone supports 11 5G bands, which is impressive to see in an affordable 5G phone. The phone ships with Android 11-based One UI 3.1.

In the camera department, the Galaxy A22 5G comes equipped with a triple camera system on the back and an 8MP front-facing camera. The rear camera system includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 5MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The handset houses a 5,000mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging.
