As seen in the screenshot of (above), the price of Redmi Note 8 base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is now selling for Rs 10,499. This is a Rs 500 increase over the smartphone’s launch price of Rs 9,999. The 6GB + 128GB variant, however, is still selling at the launch price, i.e. Rs 12,999. The usual offers are still intact, and you can avail of exchange offers, 10-days replacement, and bank discounts on purchasing the smartphone from On Amazon, however, you can only purchase the smartphone’s 6GB + 128GB variant as the 4GB + 64GB model is not listed on the platform anymore.

Redmi Note 8 specifications

The Redmi Note 8 boasts of a 6.39-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2,340 × 1,080 pixels, waterdrop notch at the top, Gorilla Glass 5, and 2.5D curved glass design. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, paired with an Adreno 610 GPU. The device comes in two configurations – one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and the other with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The storage can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card. As a matter of fact, the India variant of the Redmi Note 8 features a dedicated microSD card slot.

Shifting gears to the camera department, the Redmi Note 8 flaunts a quad-camera setup at the back, which consists of a 48-megapixel (f/1.79) primary sensor, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is a 13MP unit. At the back, we can see a physical fingerprint scanner. Speaking of the battery, a 4,000mAh battery keeps the lights of the Redmi Note 8 on, and the same can be charged with the help of an 18W fast charger, which comes bundled in the box.
