“Realme X2 price leak claims the 128GB storage variant will start at Rs 19,999, but Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth suggests the phone could be cheaper”
Realme X2 is all set to launch in India today alongside the Realme Buds Air. The launch event is scheduled to begin at 12:30PM and you can catch the livestream via the official Realme YouTube channel. Just hours ahead of the launch, tipster Ishan Agarwal tweeted an image from the “launch rehearsal” that revealed the prices of the Realme X2. According to the leak, the Realme X2 will start from Rs 19,999 for the 6GB + 128GB storage model, going up to Rs 20,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. However, a tweet by Realme CEO Madhav Sheth soon after the leaked pricing suggests the Realme X2 price could be even lower than Rs 19,999.
I have an amazing leak for you all, thanks to someone at the #realme launch rehearsal 😉. #realmeX2 will be priced at ₹19,999 for 6+128GB variant and ₹20,999 for 8+128GB! First smartphone to launch with Snapdragon 730G under 20k and first sale on 20th! What do you guys think? pic.twitter.com/TzIvw4Ha2w— Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) December 16, 2019
Realme X2 expected price
Sheth in a tweet on Monday said,”Don’t go by rumours”, which seemed to be in response to the leaked pricing from the stage rehearsal. Now, we’re only speculating at the moment, but it seems to suggest that the Realme X2 may launch well below Rs 20,000. Considering the two variants shown in the leaks have 128GB storage, it is possible that a base variant with 64GB internal storage could launch somewhere between Rs 17,000 to Rs 18,000.
In China, Realme launched the Realme X2 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage as the base model, you can expect this storage variant to come to India as well. This means the Realme X2 could be even cheaper than Rs 19,999. Even at Rs 19,999, the Realme X2 is all set to be the most affordable phone with a Snapdragon 730G SoC. We will know the official price of the Realme X2 in just a few hours from now.
