A new Realme phone with model number RMX2205 has been spotted on TENAA by tipster Mukul Sharma. The tipster speculates that the phone could be part of the Realme 8 series. We have already seen the design of the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro, but the images on TENAA suggest it is neither of the two models. Instead, the Realme RMX2205 could be the Realme 8i, which is expected to launch in India soon. The company had recently revealed that it plans to bring the Realme 8 5G and Realme 8i to India. The TENAA listing gives us a few key Realme 8i specifications and shows off the phone’s design.

Realme RMX2205 live images and specs on TENAA

The TENAA listing shows off the design of the Realme RMX2205 smartphone. The images show the phone will come with a rectangular camera module that houses triple cameras and the Dare to Leap branding across the back. The phone has a corner punch-hole camera, a power button on the right side of the frame, and volume keys on the left side. As there is no physical fingerprint sensor, we speculate that the phone will come with an in-display screen and therefore an AMOLED display.

The TENAA listing reveals the Realme RMX2205 is a 5G smartphone. The phone measures 158.5 x 73.3 x 8.4 and it features a 6.43-inch display. The device packs a 4,400mAh battery and runs on Android 11. Lastly, the TENAA listing reveals the handset supports dual SIM dual standby.

We cannot confirm yet if this is the Realme 8i, but it does not look like any of the Realme 8-series phones that have launched so far. As this is a 5G phone, we are also not sure whether the company will bring this model to India or a 4G-only version. We expect to learn more in the coming weeks.
