Its most recent release, the POCO M3, is a budget smartphone that offers decent specifications at a starting price of Rs 10,999. The phone has been popular among customers since its launch. In fact, the brand managed to sell about 1,50,000 units of POCO M3 during its first sale on Flipkart, and has now crossed the 2,50,000 mark in just under two weeks of being on sale. The POCO brand is currently the third-largest online smartphone brand in the country. According to the company, more than 30 lakh customers have shown their interest in this phone.
POCO M3 sales in India
The POCO M3 (review) was launched on February 2nd in India, and its first sale was on February 9th on Flipkart. During the first sale, POCO managed to sell 1,50,000 units of the smartphone, and the number has now crossed the 2,50,000 mark after the second sale that happened on February 16th. POCO India has announced that those who missed the chance to buy the phone will be able to do so on February 23rd. As of now, the phone is only available for purchase on Flipkart. The sales figures for the phone are pretty great since it’s only being sold on one platform.
POCO M3 specifications
This budget smartphone from POCO is equipped with the Snapdragon 662 chipset, which although an older processor, performs well even today. The phone can be had with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It gets a 6.53-inch display up front with FHD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch that houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Talking about cameras, there’s a triple-rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor and dual 2-megapixel lenses for depth and macro.
One of the main selling points of this phone is its large 6,000mAh battery, which supports 18W fast charging. It also gets a headphone jack, an IR blaster, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and stereo speakers. The design of the phone is also very striking with eye-catching colours and a unique rear camera module.
