OPPO A53 entry-level smartphone has already bagged most of the required certifications, including the EEC, FCC, BIS, TKDN, Indonesian Telecom, and NBTC, suggesting the launch could be imminent. It was also spotted on Geekbench benchmarking platform. Now, the OPPO A53 specifications have surfaced online courtesy a MySmartPrice report, citing an industry source who wishes to remain anonymous. While it was initially rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 662 SoC, the latest report claims that the OPPO A53 will have the new Snapdragon 460 SoC that was announced earlier this year.

Furthermore, the OPPO A53 is said to sport a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and will be available in two variants: 4GB +64GB and 6GB +128GB option. A 5,000mAh battery with 18W VOOC charging support will fuel the phone. Moving to the cameras, the OPPO A53 packs triple camera setup at the rear that includes a 13MP primary camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it gets a 16MP snapper placed in the punch-hole cutout for selfies and video chats. The handset will have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
While it’s not confirmed, the OPPO A53 is likely to boot Android 10 with ColorOS 7 custom skin on top. Connectivity features could include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and probably a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers. Unfortunately, we still don’t know when exactly the OPPO A53 will launch in India, but we’re hoping to learn more information soon. Stick around.
