“The 55W Super FlashCharge technology will be able to charge the iQOO 3 to 50 percent in just 15 minutes”

One of the more hotly anticipated smartphones in the coming weeks is the iQOO 3. The iQOO 3 is a phone from Vivo sub-brand iQOO, which is all set to launch in India on February 25th. Notably, the iQOO 3 will be India’s first smartphone with a Snapdragon 865 SoC and 5G connectivity. In terms of design, the phone is said to sport a punch-hole AMOLED display on the front and a curved glass panel on the back with a quad camera setup. While we cannot confirm how the device will look from the front, we have spotted an iQOO 3 image on Weibo that reveals the rear panel in full. We have also spotted a few official-looking teaser posters that confirm the iQOO 3 will come with a new 55W Super FlashCharge support and 4,440mAh battery capacity.

iQOO 3 image and teaser posters

As you can see, the iQOO 3 image shows off an L-shaped quad camera setup, which was teased earlier this week as well. The quad camera setup will include a 48MP primary camera and a depth sensor. The setup may also include a wide-angle lens and telephoto/macro lens, but we cannot confirm that just yet. Apart from a quad camera setup, rest of the rear panel is clear. As per the image, the phone will come in a dark blue or grey colour option with a unique pattern. There is no rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, so we assume an in-display sensor will be available. We also notice a coloured power button on the side of the frame, a Type-C port and speaker grille on the bottom, but no headphone jack.

The three other teaser posters spotted on Weibo confirm that the iQOO 3 will come with a 55W Super FlashCharge technology and 4,440mAh battery. To recall, Vivo had filed a trademark for Super FlashCharge last month, raising speculations that the 55W fast charging tech would feature on an upcoming smartphone. We now know that this smartphone is the iQOO 3.

A separate poster claims the 55W Super FlashCharge technology will be able to juice up the phone to 50 percent in just 15 minutes.

In addition to this, iQOO 3 specifications that we know of include the Snapdragon 865 SoC, 5G support and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, among other things. We expect to learn more about the iQOO 3 as we approach its launch in India on February 25th.
