Huawei MateBook D laptop has been officially launched at an event in China alongside the MatePad Pro tablet. The laptop comes in two display sizes (14-inch and 15-inch) and has a Shark Fin 2.0 Silent Fan, which pushes stronger air volume and improves the heat dissipation during extreme usage. The Huawei MateBook D is just 16:9mm thickness and weighs just 1.9Kgs, making it thinner and portable. Ports on board include a USB 2.0 port, USB 3.0 port, HMDI port, a USB 3.0 port, a USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack. It comes with a 65W USB-C power adapter.
Huawei MateBook D specifications
Huawei Mate D 15, as the name suggests, flaunts a 15.6-inch IPS full HD display with 1,920 X 1,080 pixels resolution, 87 percent screen-to-body ratio, 16:9 aspect ratio, and 178-degree viewing angle. The machine is powered by the Intel 10th generation Core i7 processor coupled with NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics processor. It packs up to 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD storage and 1TB HDD.
On the other hand, the more compact Huawei MateBook D 14 sports a 14-inch full-HD display and measures just 15.9mm in thickness and weigh 1.38kg. It also supports 180-degree screen opening and closing. Both the models come with the one-touch power button with fingerprint detection integrated.
Huawei has also launched the MateBook D Ryzen version that comes with AMD dual-channel memory design. Huawei claims that it can improve graphics performance by more than 30 percent. The laptop comes with AMD R5 3500U chipset with up to 16GB of RAM. All three models run on Windows 10 OS. The company is claiming 13 hours of battery life on a single charge, 13.2 hours of full-HD video playback and 12 hours of web browsing. The Huawei MateBook D series comes in Black and Grey colour options.
