If you had been waiting to buy a new smartphone but were denied the opportunity as e-commerce portals stopped their operations last month, here is some great news for you. You can now place orders on all products on Flipkart as the site has started accepting orders. However, bear in mind that the delivery of the products will only be possible from April 20th as the company will have to follow the guidelines issued by the central government. Unfortunately, this service will be resumed for select areas as of now and you will have to check if it is available in your locality or not be entering your PIN code on the website. Thankfully, users will be able to purchase smartphones from the website throughout the country, except for West Bengal and Karnataka, as per the website. Currently, phones from Apple, Samsung, Realme, Vivo, OPPO, and Xiaomi are already available for purchase from the website.

Separately, Xiaomi and Realme have also announced that the brands have started taking orders on their respective websites. Notably, Xiaomi says that it is only taking prepaid orders as of now and the delivery will only be possible once the lockdown is lifted. Realme has mentioned April 20th on the website and says that it has started taking orders for phones and will be following the guidelines issued by the government regarding delivery of these products.

Amazon has still not started taking smartphones orders as of now

As of now, Amazon is only delivering essential goods and has not announced any plans for smartphone deliveries post April 20th. We will have to wait and see if the e-commerce platform will follow in the footsteps of Flipkart or wait till the lockdown is fully lifted to resume services. For those who are unaware, the government shared the guidelines with e-commerce giants and shared that these websites will be allowed to resume services starting April 21st.
