Samsung Galaxy A52 had recently received BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification, hinting that its India launch could be around the block. Now, in line with that, 91mobiles has exclusively learned from industry sources that the phone’s production has begun in the country at Samsung’s Greater Noida facility. The Samsung Galaxy A52 launch is expected sometime in the first half of 2021 as a premium mid-range offering, going by recent leaks. Additionally, sources tell us that Samsung will be bringing the 5G version of the Galaxy A52 to India, probably to better compete with other 5G offerings in the segment from rival brands such as Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Vivo, among others. However, the exact timeline for the Samsung Galaxy A52 India launch remains a mystery, for now.

Samsung Galaxy A52 design
The recently leaked renders showed off the Samsung Galaxy A52 will have a centre-aligned hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera and slim bezels. The phone has a rectangular camera module at the back that houses quad-lenses. The power button and volume rocker are on the right spine. While the USB Type-C port, speaker grill and 3.5mm headphone jack is at the bottom. Design-wise, the Samsung Galaxy A52 is a lot identical to the Galaxy A51.

As far as specifications go, Samsung Galaxy A52 is expected to flaunt a 6.5-inch AMOLED display, which could bear an FHD+ resolution. The 5G model is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G, while the 4G-only variant could ship with Snapdragon 720G. The phone is likely to boot Android 11 OS out of the box and pack 6GB RAM and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The handset is tipped to measure 159.9 x 75.1 x 8.4mm (10mm with the rear camera bump).
The Samsung A52 5G price is said to be around $499 (around Rs 36,700) but we can expect the India price to be slightly less. We should learn more details soon.
