Chinese phonemaker Coolpad has announced its first-ever 5G smartphone called Coolpad Legacy 5G. The handset, unveiled at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 in LA, is a successor to last year’s Coolpad Legacy. The Coolpad Legacy 5G touts a glass-sandwich design, with 48MP dual rear cameras and a dewdrop display that supports HDR10. The phone is equipped with a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset with an integrated 5G modem. The Coolpad Legacy 5G is driven by a beefy 4,000mAh battery, while the latest Android 10 OS takes care of the software side of things.
Coolpad Legacy 5G price, availability
The Coolpad Legacy 5G price has not been announced, but it’s said to retail around $400 that roughly translates to Rs 28,000 in the Indian currency. The phone will be available for sale on Amazon.com or Coolpad US website from Q2 2020.

Coming to the specifications, the Coolpad Legacy 5G ships with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display that bears HDR10, a Full HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch atop. At the phone’s core lies Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 5G SoC, aided by 4GB RAM and 64GB user-expandable storage (up to 128GB). The handset comes with just one SIM slot that supports sub-6GHz 5G networks, which is said to be reliable and have better range than 5G networks that use mmWave frequency
The phone houses a respectable 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 via a USB Type-C port. The Legacy 5G’s dual rear cameras feature 48-megapixel primary sensor paired with an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens with LED flash. For selfies and video calling, the phone sports a 16-megapixel sensor on the front. Other highlights include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and standard connectivity options such as Type-C port and audio jack.
