The BSNL Rs 499 Bharat Fiber plan availability has been extended. The broadband recharge plan from BSNL offered benefits like an additional 100GB data at 20Mbps speed. The earlier offer was said to expire on March 31st, but BSNL has now extended the Rs 499 Bharat Fiber plan offer till June 29th. If you are interested in purchasing this broadband recharge plan, you can head to BSNL’s website. The BSNL Rs 499 Bharat Fiber plan is available in all regions where BSNL Bharat Fiber services are available, except in the Andaman and Nicobar circle.
As per the information on BSNL’s website, the plan offers 20Mbps of speeds only until 100GB which is the FUP limit. Post the 100GB data exhaustion, the speeds will drop 2Mbps. The plan has unlimited calls + STD to any network. Even so, the plan does not come with a free Amazon Prime subscription. The OTT service is only available on plans that are priced above Rs 499.
More recently, BSNL announced that it will be extending the validity for its prepaid users and will also offer free talk time owing to the coronavirus lockdown across the country. Firstly, all the BSNL prepaid recharges validity has been extended up to April 20th, 2020 at no cost so subscribers can continue receiving incoming calls and keep in touch with family.
BSNL says that prepaid users account for up to 90 percent of the telecom network’s 800 million active user base. Secondly, it is crediting Rs 10 talk time to all subscribers who have reached zero balance and are not in a position to recharge. The move comes following TRAI’s request to major telecom operators to extend the validity of prepaid users to ensure uninterrupted voice and data services during the lockdown. However, TRAI has now blamed major telecom operators for offering extensions selectively, leaving out a majority of 2G users who continue to struggle with connectivity and recharge issues.
