The next-gen Apple AirPods 3 will launch before June 2021, as per noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He believes that Apple will cash in this year’s holiday season with the second-gen AirPods, which were announced back in March 2019, and only upgrade them next year in the first half, with similar form factor as the AirPods Pro. If that’s true, we can expect AirPods 3 to feature short stem and in-ear design for noise cancellation. The features of the upcoming TWS earphones remain vague at the moment, but we can expect improved battery life, always-listening Siri, and better audio quality compared to their predecessor.
Apart from Apple AirPods 3, iPad Mini with a bigger screen than its predecessor is also early expected next year – based on Kuo’s previous report. The all-new iPad Mini is said to come with an affordable price tag and a display size between 8.5 to a 9-inch. Separately, Kuo in the new investors note mentioned the much-rumoured augmented reality glasses should launch sometime in 2022. However, tipster Jon Prosser claims the Apple Glass may launch next year at the hardware event.
In addition to that, Kuo reiterates his previous report that Apple will stop shipping wired earbuds in the iPhone 12 box to boost AirPods demand. The growth of the Cupertino-based firm’s wireless accessory is said to have slumped during the second quarter due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the analyst believes that it’ll pick up by the end of this year.
