“Samsung Galaxy Z Flip foldable phone is expected to come with Snapdragon 865 SoC, 10MP front-facing camera and punch-hole design”
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is said to be the name of the clamshell foldable phone, which may launch alongside the Galaxy S20 series on February 11th. This week, we saw live images of the Galaxy S20+ along with information about the Galaxy S20 Ultra camera setup. As for the foldable phone, we learned that the Galaxy Z Flip will be powered by last-year’s Snapdragon 855 SoC, will feature dual-rear cameras and a single 10MP front-facing camera. Now, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip with model number SM-F700 has bagged 3C certification in China, revealing that it will support 15W fast-charging support. Additionally, it is also being reported that the foldable phone will house a 3,300mAh battery.
The certification site does not reveal anything about the Galaxy Z Flip apart from mentioning its 15W charging support. Meanwhile, XDA-Developers’ Max Weinbach, who leaked out live images of the Galaxy S20+, also revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will house a 3,300mAh battery.
The Galaxy Flip Z has a 3300 mAh battery. Along with the Snapdragon 855, this should be pretty ok in everything. About the same battery live as the mid size S10.— Max Weinbach (@MaxWinebach) January 14, 2020
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is said to feature an Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) construction, thereby making it the first handset on the market. It is said to rock a punch-hole display at the front and will have a Moto Razr (2019) like clamshell design. Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip foldable phone, but with the launch hardly a month away from now, we should come across more details going forward.
Separately, LetsGoDigital has custom-designed mockups (as seen in the video above) of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip based on previously leaked live images and teaser images. This gives a brief idea of what to expect from the upcoming foldable phone. The hinge mechanism is similar to the one on the Galaxy Fold. The power key and volume rocker are present on the right spine, and there’s a small external display next to the main dual rear cameras that displays time, date, and battery percentage.
