“The Samsung Galaxy W20 5G is expected to be the second-gen foldable smartphone from the brand”
Samsung Galaxy W20 5G smartphone is all set to launch on November 19th. According to a new poster, the chaebol will take the wraps off the handset on the day at an event in Wuhan, China. The poster has further revealed that the upcoming foldable smartphone will not have a flip design as was speculated previously. Instead, the Galaxy W20 5G would boast of horizontal foldable design with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and triple rear cameras – just like the Samsung Galaxy Fold. In addition to this, the handset will feature the fifth-generation cellular connectivity for that unprecedented download speed.
Unfortunately, the poster doesn’t shed any light on the Galaxy W20 5G specifications. However, rumours are rife that the handset could be powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC. It may even sport a tablet-sized display, just like the Galaxy Fold, with a hinge at the back to fold it left to right. Since the Galaxy W20 5G may share its traits with the first-gen Samsung foldable smartphone, it may pack a 7.3-inch primary display with a notch at the top-right corner that may house dual selfie cameras.
The Galaxy Fold also ships with secondary 4.6-inch cover display, paired with 4,380mAh battery with fast charging support, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. For photography, the handset packs a 12-megapixel primary wide-angle sensor + 16-megapixel ultra-wide sensor + 12-megapixel telephoto lens primary cameras at the back. Dual 10-megapixel (f/2.2) + 8-megapixel (f/1.8) cameras atop the foldable screen and a 10-megapixel (f/2.2) selfie camera when the device is folded.
The phone Android 9 Pie-based One UI out of the box and supports Dolby Atmos, Samsung DeX, and connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, GPS/ GLONASS, and more. The Galaxy Fold price in India is set at Rs 1,64,999.
