Nokia 2.3 smartphone was launched earlier this month at an event in Egypt, and it succeeds the Nokia 2.2. Now, the company has started teasing the launch of the Android One phone in India. While the teasers don’t explicitly the name, the design looks strikingly similar to the Nokia 2.3. HMD Global is also promoting its battery life and dual-rear camera capabilities through short videos with the hashtag #BadeKaamKaPhone. Unfortunately, though, HMD Global hasn’t revealed the exact launch date yet, so the mystery should continue for a few more days.
Nokia 2.3 specifications
Nokia 2.3 sports a 6.2-inch In-Cell HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, 720 x 1,520 pixels resolution, and 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a 2GHz quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC coupled with IMG PowerVR GE-class GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. The handset runs on Android 9.0 Pie, and the company has already promised the Android 10 update as well. Nokia 2.3 measures 157.69 x 75.41 x 8.68mm and weighs 183 grams.
In terms of optics, the Nokia 2.3 packs a dual rear camera setup at the back consisting of a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with LED flash. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel snapper for selfies and video calling. There’s a dedicated Google Assistant button and Face Unlock for security. Connectivity features include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS + GLONASS. A 4,000mAh battery fuels the handset.
