If you own one of the new 2018 Apple iPad Pro models, we don’t have to tell you that you made a pretty expensive investment in a new tablet. The 11-inch model starts at $799, and the 12.9-inch version is priced at $999 and up. Even if you don’t like putting a case on your mobile devices, you might want to buy one after watching how easily the iPad Pro can be bent. The latest video from JerryRigEverything, found at the top of this article, reveals that bending the thin tablet doesn’t even require you to work up a sweat.
The iPad Pro bent easily near the microphone hole on the tablet’s left side, and where the Apple Pencil’s magnetic charging spot is along the right side. Speaking of the Apple Pencil, the $129 second generation accessory also bent easily. The most obvious solution is just not to bend the tablet or the pencil. However, there have been complaints made by some iPad Pro owners who put their new tablets inside a backpack and discovered that their devices now have a noticeable bend to them. Others are claiming that their new iPad Pro models were bent right out of the box.
Until a more rugged case is made available, just treat your expensive new iPad Pro tablets with kid gloves. When traveling with the device, you might want to consider using the original box for protection.
