“Mi Watch video shows MIUI for Watch custom skin will feature a 3×3 app grid, with square icons and black background”
Xiaomi’s Mi Watch is confirmed to launch in China on November 5th alongside the Mi CC9 Pro smartphone. The watch is confirmed to have support for eSIM, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS and multiple watch faces for customisation. Now, ahead of the launch, a Mi Watch promotional video has made its way online, suggesting that it will run on MIUI for Watch custom skin. It has a 3X3 app grid with square icons and black background. There is also a digital crown, which can be used for navigation and also acts as a power button. It seems to have support for a wide range of apps as well. Another leaked hands-on video suggests that one can play videos on the Mi Watch. The touch response seems to be on point as there is no latency.
The Xiaomi Mi Watch is confirmed to ship with Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC and has Bluetooth connectivity. Thanks to eSIM connectivity, it supports calls; there is also a native Contacts app. The watch comes in white and black colours. Unfortunately, we don’t get to see the full features and specs sheet of the Xiaomi Mi Watch just yet, but since the launch is around the block, we don’t have to wait much longer.
Xiaomi will also be launching Mi CC9 Pro smartphone on the same stage. The TENAA listing confirmed that it will have a 6.47-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 2,340 × 1080 pixels resolution and come in multiple variants: 6GB + 64GB, 8GB + 128GB, and high-end 12GB + 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. The Mi CC9 Pro will boot Android 9.0 with custom MIUI 10 skin. The handset measures 157.8×74.2×9.67mm and weighs 208g. A massive 5,260mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support is expected to fuel the handset.
